Advanced permissions

Hi, I wanted to try Advanced Permissions, and made the mistake of enabling it without realizing there is no way out. So, I'm willing to keep it, and learn to use it. At the time I enabled it, I had the site access unavailable to anyone but administrators. Now, when I want to take the site public, how do I do that? With Advanced Permissions enabled, does the site now require login to view it? Or is there a public option? I'm not finding anything in the documentation that discusses this. I understand that permissions must be assigned per user and therefore you need to know which user is viewing by logging in. But is there a "Public" option that doesn't require a login?

Thanks for reading,
Steve

permissions are assigned to pages.
users are put in groups.
you can limit who can see which pages from the pages, not the users.

These docs might help:

Thanks for the help Frz. This info was pretty easy to find and I had looked through it. I think because I was in Private mode when I enabled Advanced Permissions it put the View setting at Administrator. It might not hurt to add a note to this documentation ( something like what BG410 offered ) for possible future dummies like me that find themselves in this situation.

Best Regards,
Steve

At this point for the "Public" viewing you are looking for, you would be looking for "Guest" permission(s).

So, you could go to a page.. hover your mouse over Edit > Click Permissions > Click the text/link 'View' > Where it says Access, click Add > Then click Select > Then click Group > Then click 'Guest'

Then click on the Saves

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
That's the answer I was looking for. I couldn't find "Guest", nor a reference to it anywhere.

But definitely take a look at the video/link posted above, because it gives much more details as to the how's and why's, for example you can give "Guest" view access to a page WHILE not giving them view access to say a block or stack, etc.. on a page that they do have access to. Which is really nice to have :)
