Advice before deleting pages from trash?
My client's site is loading very slowly and I have deleted some old/unused pages, but have not yet emptied the trash folder. After reading some posts, I'm wary of issues that may result after deleting the pages "permanently". What should I check before emptying the page trash bin so that I avoid problems? And will emptying the trash possibly help speed up the site?
It should be noted that I built this site for my client, but then handed it over to the client so she could make her frequent updates to content. I tried to instruct her on basic editing and advised she read through the How-to's and watch some C5 video tutorials so she'd learn the proper way to edit her site. But, instead she jumped in and did something that's caused a few issues and slowed her site way down.
Other than backing up the site beforehand, any advice for me before deleting pages from trash? Thank you!

PS. I agree the site is slow. I notice it is on 5.6.0.2. You may want to upgrade (but be prepared to revert to a backup if upgrading creates new issues)
Thank you. That was helpful to remind me to clean out old versions. I can alreaady see faster loading Next I will upgrade to latest C5 version. The prompt and sound advice was appreciated!

As well as old pages, you could also prune old page versions (there is a job for that).
But the overall reason for emptying trash and removing old page versions is just to keep the overall system cleaner and easier to work with. It will also help prevent the database growing too big for the built in backup.
