Have you tried adding it to allowed file types?

If I manually add 3gp to the list then it works. I cannot see any reason not to include this poplular video file type to the core distrubution.

There is over 30 file type allowances that C5 ships with, and its mega easy to add your own allowed file types.

You're missing my point.

I know what your saying, its popular, it should be included from the start, my point is, its not necessary as its a piece of cake to add. lets agree to disagree.

I've dropped some 3gp videos into the incoming folder and added them successfully to file manager.

Now, I would like to play a 3gp video back via a block... so I choose "Video Player", but clicking on "choose video file" file manager opens, but no 3gp videos are displayed to select.

If come out of the block options and choose the "real" file manager then the 3gp video files are shown.

Is this because the "Video Player" block does not support the 3gp video type?
