Alternative Dashboard

Hey everyone!
My Team and i decided to make an alternative dashboard for concrete5 as we are unhappy with the existing one (i´m not gonna discuss why!) we thought we could make it as a free package but before we start programming i want to have some feedback from the community, so we can improve the design! I guess we can finish this extra-time project in the next 6 weeks.
Here are 2 screenshots of what we designed, so some suggestions will be appreciated!

PS: the quick links addon (will be rebamed into dash links) that we made already for a customer, will be integrated.

Is this based on Concrete 5.5 or 5.4 ?

Ah great. I think some of our clients will not be liking the lack of a Dashboard so this will come in handy.
I prefer the look of pic 1 although I think the colours are a bit heavy.

Nice, hope it's easy to apply! The new interface is the main reason why I haven't moved yet to 5.5
Anything new on this? Absolutely would prefer this over the current as an alternative.
There are some 'traditional' dashboard addons in the marketplace that make the dashboard function a bit more like c5.4.2.
