Any vid screen capturing app recommendations?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend any video screen capture app recommendations? I'm thinking about creating a tutorial which goes over the permissions system for some clients.

I like the zoom feature in the Concrete 5 tutorials. Anyone have the name for that one?

thanks

for windows.

I am not sure what is applicable for a mac client, but camtasia has a 30 day free trial :)

You can output as a SWF too and get a native res movie that's extremely tiny and plays right in the browser. It supports zooming and whatnot but if you just save the video at your actual desktop res you don't even need to use it.

Franz uses ScreenFlow

I use iShowU HD Pro + Final Cut Pro to make my Japanese tutorials.

As ScottC mentioned Camtasia Studio is good one for Windows. One of my Japanese concrete5 team is using Camtasia to create more screencast as well.

it's mainly for ubuntu, but the tutorial of producing a video screencast is a quite a good concept for all operating systems

Thanks for the recommendations everyone! I'll check out the programs you guys mentioned. I've found an app called uTIPu which seems pretty good and saves straight to flv.

free, and works good, but it only makes swf files.
