Best way to move large files into the File Manager

Hello all,
I am looking to see what you have found to be the best method of moving a large amount of heavy files (+40MB) into your file manager?

What have y'all found?

There have been several users of my Front End File Uploader addon who are using it to upload gigabyte+ video files. The ultimate limitation is the php and apache server environment.
