Blog is very slow, rest of the site loads relatively quickly
Permalink
I've been using Concrete5 for a while now to publish my site caitlinarnoldweddings.com. Recently the blog (www.caitlinarnold.com/blog) has become nearly non-functional as it can take anywhere from 15 - 20 seconds to load the main blog page and/or any individual post. Every other page on the site loads in 2 - 5 seconds. It appears time to first byte accounts for the bulk of the load time on any page, but especially the blog.
I've tried various methods for reducing this load time, but to no avail. The sites hosted on Dreamhost and I understand having it on a shared server with other sites will slow things down, but I don't understand why the blog pages are so much slower than the rest of the site.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I fixed the missing js file (page no longer calls it.) No change in page load speed though.
Talk to your host
You have a Time to First Byte of 23 seconds!

Host (Dreamhost) wasn't much help. I know I'm hitting a memory limit of some sort since I'm on a shared server. I'm trying to figure out why the blog page(s) are so much slower than every other page on the site.
This can depend on what you're doing with your page_type also. ProBlog blocks are designed to be as efficient as possible for example. (not sure if you're using that or not). However, some API's can really bog down a page load that are out of control of C5. Such as disqus comment count, sharethis integration, and other external API's. these can really hurt performance depending on your server.
Having said that, here is my Blog hosted on shared hosting c5spot.com using C5 & ProBlog : http://chadstrat.com
One other thing I notice makes a difference is pagination. There really is no point in loading to many posts at one time. Your regular followers only regard the latest posts, and SEO lends to direct linking anyway? So I try to only show 5-7 at a time.

On your blog page you have a js file trying to load that does not exist.
