Hi this may be a stupid question my brain may be shot today, When I add a new blog post why does the summary show the whole post that's there when clicked through and not just the summary text?
Cheers Bill,
Thought as much but I can't see where to limit this do you know what tab it's under or which file?

If you go into your dashboard..and go into the settings for the Blog you will see a tab for Blog Settings. Scroll down and you will see Blog List Post Settings. Set the number of characters you want and save. That should do it.
hmmm I don't appear to have this this is the correct page as the one attached
Good catch. I should have asked you which version you were using and the site I ref'd was using an older version. Updated now.
In the first tab of the dashboard blog settings, you see the tinymce content area.
At the top of that there are four selections (Add image, add file, Insert link to page, and Insert Break Point). This last one is the one you want to select at the area you want to stop the short preamble. A link will then state "Read full post". This is an automatic link.
Sorry for the confusion earlier.
Bill

Thankyou once again, your a star all sorted out now, seems pretty obvious now must be a dumb day on my part
Hi!
I tried today to edit an old post on my blog and change the "Break Point" to another place in the text.
But unfortunetely, there wasn't the selection "Insert Break Point" at the top of TinyMCE.
Would you consider to add it automatically to TinyMCE when someone has installed the Blog Package?
So if someone want to do the same thing like me, they will have the possibility to make it happen easily, without the inconvenient to edit the html for inserting the break point code!
Thanks.
