C5 for a DB app by non-developer?

Looking at C5 to build a site to search & report on data. Data will be about 5000 lines per day, in CSV format. I need to do some simple math on the data, count occurrences of items, and slice and dice it for reporting. Looking for a minimal interface, based on a search field, with links to a handful of reports.

My experience level is wordpress admin, with some scripting knowledge.

My question, is C5 the right platform for me? Any links/suggestions/feedback is greatly appreciated.

Is the app part of a larger site on which you need content management? If not - if it's really just a dedicated web application - it might not be geared toward that need, since we really shine as a CMS.

That said, we've got some pretty powerful add-ons available, which deal with files, user lists, and importing data via CSV. If you find an add-on that meets your needs it could make the whole process pretty easy.

While the DB app would be centric, I'm looking for flexibility to add functionality with growth. FAQ, Feeds, Forum/Community all come to mind.

I'll look more into the data import add-on. Thanks for the response.
