C5 hosting charges gone up?
Just noticed that the basic package for hosting here seems to have gone up considerably - was there a specific reason for that? Overheads of maintaining the servers/support or something?
It's a shame, a lot of my smaller clients love C5, but are unlikely to shell out that much dough for hosting, which leaves me with other shared hosting plans (becoming less and less of a fan of them for C5 sites I develop)...
Have I missed any packages below the 'Basic Business' one? Sorry if it sounds like a gripe, just keen to push more people towards hosting that works well with C5.

I believe its for the concierge support, there is support from c5 experts (the core team)
opps meant comment for next person... moved post.
Well, since providers are being listed here, then my suggestion obviously would WebHostingWholesale or WHW1.com (meaning Web Hosting With $1).

yup.
we can't compete with budget hosting.
bluehost does great tho, for like 7 bucks a month.
there's a link on top of our hosting page, I think it's pretty clear who the various options are for there:

Fair enough. I'm sure there are plenty of aspects to hosting that are expensive to maintain. Never been a fan of Bluehost though, so I suppose I will need to take a gamble with sitecloud...
Are there others apart from those two that people have had good experiences with? Most of the smaller clients for which this is applicable are UK-based, and although I like Hostgator for other CMSs, I've had varying results using C5 with them on smaller sites.
I've also tried Eleven2 which were ok, but the budget C5 hosting always seemed to outdo the others.

Just curious if anyone has tried both bluehost and lunarpages and how they compare. I've rolled out 2 c5 sites onto lunarpages and I have had good luck, but I'm wondering if bluehost is better/faster. I'm working on another c5 site and trying to decide if I should try bluehost instead of lunarpages. The nice thing about lunarpages is their support. I always get through right away when I call and they are always very helpful.
personally i have found hostgator to be really speedy
I know this is a dated topic buthttp://www.startupwebworks.com has been setup to allow for autonomous hosting of Concrete5. Plans start at just $4.95 a month.
Hemm! I did not realize C5 was involved in providing hosting. Got my eyebrow raised.
Huh, and you have a list of hosting providers. However, only limited to a few listings?
Hope there is no bias here.
Please email regarding how to get WebHostingWholesale, who has been providing C5 installs for a very long time, on your Hosting list.
Won't matter if it is WebHostingWholesale.com or WHW1.com that gets listed.
I am here because increased client interests led to us looking deeper than installing it for clients, and we got so impressed by the current C5 that we may consider showcasing C5.
