Can a non-programmer use Concrete5

I just registered after looking around the C5 site. I want to build a website for my photography business with galleries and eCommerce. I may need a little help to get started and some customization for the functionality I need. But, can I do the bulk of the site myself? Thanks.

Yes you can. Out the box you can create a website. You can search for some add-ons such as Simple Image Gallery and add it to a block (space on the page) where you want it to go.

There are lots of experienced people here that can help if you have questions as well as people who can offer you assistance for a fee. It's really up to them.

Good luck.

You can definitely be a non-programmer and use C5.

Watch a few of the C5 tutorial videos on Youtube to get a basic understanding, and then use some of the free themes to learn it, and then if you want find a nicer pay theme for around $30.00 or so to make it look even better.

Edit: Sound like you haven't gotten started yet, make sure your webhost allow you to use php/mysql (most do, but still check). Some webhosts now have a C5 install built into their cPanel/Fantastico page to make the installation even easier.

As they said, but also make it clear whenever you ask for help on the forums that you are not a programmer, and make that clear on your profile. Otherwise you will get answers designed for programmers.
