Can I do this with Concrete5?

I'm about to set up a web site for our church, and I was originally going to use Joomla, but my wife suggested Concrete5.

One of the things that's very important to do for this site is to be able to have a list of uploaded documents (sermons on one page, newsletters on another, etc) and be able to click them to open them. I want to allow a designated user (or group of users) to upload articles to that page and have the list update automatically without them having to edit a table or something. Is this something supported "out of the box" or using a plugin?

Another thing I'm looking for is the ability to embed a Google Calendar. Is that possible?

the file block built into the core will likely do this just fine.

and i think you can embed google calendars with a HTML block (also free in the core)

there's also the document library add-on that you can use if you feel like spending some money to get more of an extranety feel for your file list.

Uploading the documents are easy: You can use the built-in file manager.

Downloading is another issue. Out of the box there is only availability for linking to one document at a time. This would be time consuming and error prone for what you are looking for.

A quick marketplace search returned this result, which might work for you:http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/downloads-list/...

For the calendar, you might look at:http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/gcalendar-viewer/... If that doesn't do exactly what you need, the developer might be interested in adapting it to your needs.

If you have any other issues, hit me up.
