Cannot login to site due to mistaken added attribute
Permalink
I was trying to set up an attribute for information wanted when people registered. I wanted to test it out, so I logged out. When trying to log back in it shows the attribute I added, but I don't know the answer.
Is there I can delete this from the back end?
Or, how do i find the answer to at least get logged in? I will delete it then.
I have added a screen shot of the question asked for the attribute.
Thank you in advance!

well unless you specified a a specific valid response it is likely that you just set it up so that everyone had to fill it out to be a member, in which case anything would be correct.
I added 2: Promoter, Venue Owner/Manager
I also added the option for the user to add to it.
I'm not sure what to type. I've tried everything, it continues to say it is required. It seems like it's not logging. I want to delete this option, but now I cannot login.
Here is another screenshot.
Try it...

Hmm, that looks like you've added an attribute of Tag type as a required user attribute. There's no "right" answer, but I'm kinda confused as to how you managed to add that to a user account in the first place.
If you can't get past it by adding an option, or perhaps clicking that option, you might be stuck. I'm sure this could be fixed by getting into the database and deleting things, but that's going to be too complicated to quickly explain in the forums.
If you want to open a support incident, I'm sure we can fix this setup for you.

I am guessing when I changed my login to admin and member(registered user).
I currently do not have the funds needed to create/pay for a support ticket.

Can I go in the backend and delete the attribute? I believe I named it "type"
What directory is this located in?
Anyway Concrete can charge me a little less on this?

You should be looking in the database, not the directory system. There should be various tables with Attribute in the name, those are how these are joined to accounts.
I have found the attribute and deleted it in the database. In order to access my database I had to change my database password.
how do I set up the new password so it can connect?

FIXED!

you have to go into your MySQL database. Do a search under Attributes (select all folders of Attributes). Searching for the attribute you added (name or handle). Delete it, refresh your pages and it should work. It took me about an hour to see the attribute changes in the browser gone. Let me know if this helps.
