Can't remove page type

Hi guys,
can't remove page type until ALL pages have more than 10 versions or I deleted manually all old page versions on EVERY page (hundred or so at this project)...
Any way to solve that problem?

Clear your cache and empty your trash and see if you still have the problem.
I did that - but if there are versions of pages using the page type I can't remove them. First I have to remove the old page versions.
Any ideas?
