Change form capcha label text to Canadian French!

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Guys,

I have a customer with a multi language site. I have several forms in different languages but now need to change the Captcha instructions on one form; 'Please type the letters and numbers shown in the image' and 'Click the image to see another captcha' to into Canadian French!

I have trawled the Form files to find the text but no joy. Does anybody know where I might look please?

Ian

Try using google recaptcha. I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but it is worth a look:

Hi Igrieves, did you manage to fix that?

i Have the same problem. My install of c5 is in English so that's why my form block in the french part of the site isn't displaying the captcha info in french...

Yes I did but cannot remember how. There was a file with the text in it so it can be done.

This string are wrap in the core with t function they should translate automatically if your site is well setup in a multilingual way.

These are Concrete core translation you must have the french language pack install in your concrete installation. have a look here for instruction on how to do it :

Not at all. that was to make sure you have the french language package install.

In this case the first place where i will look it's the messages.mo files. Most likely this string are not translated in the language pack, so they fall back in english.

If you don't know how to do it post your messages.mo files here i will look at it.
This file should be located here : root/languages/fr_FR/LC_MESSAGES/messages.mo

i've installed the concrete5/fr package from Cali (who is a nice guy)

in the root/languages/fr-FR/LC_MESSAGES/

there are two files in there:

messages.mo
and
messages.po

should i edit them?

it only does translates when i'm log in as the admin...

once i'm not connected it detects the right home page, once there, when i go to the contact page, the form captcha messages remains in english.

i'm so lost :(

You should check if the problematic string are translated or empty.
but since as admin the string are well translated they should be all right...

From there it's hard to says what's going on whiteout looking at your site setup.

Sorry i can't help further
