Change of domain names and how it affects my concrete 5 website
Permalink
Hi,
I initially wanted my website's domaain to bewww.www.dexteritasinstitute.com...
However, now I changed it tohttp://www.dexteritas.org (blue host did)
However I am concerned as when I typehttp://www.dexteritas.org it leads me directly to
www.www.dexteritasinstitute.com...
My question is once I open the site for the public (as right now only admins can get in) will it be available to the public only athttp://www.dexteritas.org?
How can I make sure that if they typehttp://www.dexteritas.org it will not transform intowww.www.dexteritasinstitute.com?...
Thanks!

They said that I should talk to you guys (concrete 5).
Hi Franz,
I am hoping you can help me with this:
Here is what blue host told me:
"You can either use the file manager or an ftp client."
I have NO idea what it means. Can someone explain this to me? Thanks so much!

Yep - check your site.php file. Make sure your BASE_URL is set correctly. If it is, then post back here...

Sorry for the silly question again. How do I do that?
Do you know how to ftp into your site and download files? If not, ask bluehost for your ftp information and send it to me in a Private Message and I'll do it for you. Sounds like this is your problem though...

Jon is correct, browse to <wherec5isinstalled>/config/site.php,
open that file and modify the BASE_URL line, its pretty self explanatory,
