Check box filtering

This may be simple but I am looking for a way to have check box filtering within concrete5.

Specifically I have a load of images which I want to assign categories and then a list of categories with check boxes to display one, all or several.

I notice you have this feature on the C5 site but it doesn't seem available within C5 or add-ons. Only the Dojo page filter comes close but its one or all categories. Any help most welcome.

So you want the checkboxes to be displayed to viewers of your site (as opposed to something only available to the people editing the site)? And whichever checkboxes they check it would show those images? Well it's certainly doable but not simple.

What is your experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, or PHP?

Thanks for the reply, I'm OK with HTML and CSS but pretty much zero on PHP. I had hoped there would be some existing functionality out there

No, nothing built into C5 -- I don't think this is possible without custom development. :(

Take a look at this:

This little block is really powerful. It will do what you want minus the fancy ajax/jquery reshuffle of the items like Dojo's page filter.
