concrete5 eBook: would you buy it?

Hi,
I know I've been a bit low-key in the concrete5 community over the past year, but I am trying to change that. I have written a ton of blocks and packages and even replaced the need for wordpress installations on some pretty large sites(un-related to my marketplace addon), integrated logins between two different systems etc.. all really cool stuff and unfortunately all as client work.
What I am wondering is if there is any desire for a sort of manual that walks you or your development team through the process of building a fairly complex concrete5 add-on. I am thinking there would be one that deals with the page based approach, one with the database record based approach (which is the one i prefer).
Any interest?

Hell Yes! I'd buy one!
Hey Scott,
Absolutely. I'd be interested in:
What kind of updates would you commit to as UI and functionality expands and changes? For example, the addition of Stacks was a huge and very needed feature, and I'd want to make sure such things would be added in a reasonable time-frame if I told all my clients to buy it... ;)
Additionally, would you offer bulk purchasing? If it was well written, with a slew of graphical walk-throughs, I'd want to recommend it to ALL my clients, and I like uniformity... ;)
I'd be happy to help in any editing or anything. This could be very helpful. :)
Best,
Joel

Well this would be a developer book and purely in a digital format, so adding things as warranted wouldn't be too much of an issue, you'd simply download the new version.
I also thought about doing a subscription site like railscasts.com but I don't know what would be the better approach.
I also thought about creating topic based approach but this is still something I am thinking about.

You could develop a C5 book reader/manager/creator addon and then sell the book addon as well as the book as a self referencing example ;-)
Not sure how serious I meant that to be, just brainstorming....

a vicious cycle of sales. I like it :)
Let me respond to this Facebook-style:

But on a serious-note, having the documentation available FROM the C5 installation the client is already logged into would be interesting...

I'm definitely interested! Any furthering in concrete5 knowledge and understanding is always appreciated, and this sounds like a great way to accomplish that!
I think I would be interested, too!
Count me in, I would read it, sounds extremely useful.
What do you think would be a better format, an ebook or a site with tutorials?
This is going to be a fairly large time-sink either way, I think the site with tutorials might be a bit better..

Despite my earlier comment, I think and e-book would be a better format. Something to read without being in front of a development system. With the book, give a login to a site with online examples.
Finally, if one of the examples was an ebook reader... then we are back to my earlier post.

Right, i understand that. I am not sure how I would actually go about it.
I know you learned a bit about using the active record from the url director addon, I think small manageable chunks like that would be the way to go, and be a bit better in the small digestible chunks format.
Always looking for advice either way though.
Thank you for your input.

How about a website that can export to an e-book? ehhhh?
sounds like the best of both worlds. I always liked making videos though :)

Why not speak to Packt about publishing?
A website that can export to an e-book would be awesome! Would it be a small version of Lynda for C5 developers?
I'd think so. I'll have to look at their format.

Howdy Scott,
Sounds like a great idea. Coming from a Cobol and the past ten years Perl background. I really enjoy the Perl module docs and tutorials (Catalyst, DBIx::Class and Template Toolkit to name a few) are loaded with ample explanation and examples. So if your book would help connect the dots - I would buy a copy.
Keep us posted on your progress -- Jeff.
