Concrete5 new version slower than the last
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Guys,
I have noticed my sites are slower tan before once upgraded to 5.6.
Try:
http://www.bourtonnewsandgifts.com/...
http://www.criticalflow.co.uk/
I have been round the forum on this and done what people have suggested such as:
- added the line: define('CACHE_FRONTEND_OPTIONS', serialize(array('automatic_cleaning_factor' => 0))); to my site.php file,
- my host runs Zend caching
- I've been playing around with caching, on and off
....all to no avail. Some of my sites take up to 10 - 15 secs to load which is causing customer issues.
Anybody else seen this please?
Ian

Hi Franz,
Yes I have since my post. It seems quicker although I'll test over the next day or so to see if this is consistent.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Franz,
A common problem I have had is knowing how to set caching in C5. Given C5 is quite often slow this is quite important. I can't find any documentation on the site re this and the forums are not too informative. It may be worth creating some website pages or better still info on the Cache settings page so the less technical among us know which boxes to tick?
