concrete5.org under maintenance?
During the past few weeks, it has not been uncommon for me to see concrete5.org under maintenance when I try to access any page on this site.
Am I the only one seeing this or does someone else also experience this occasionally? I didn't see any other forum threads regarding this.
And this has not been only once or twice, I'd say it has been closer to a couple of times in a day during the past week. I've also experienced it before the past week but not so often.
Or is there just some update work going on here every day?

I have noticed today that posting in these forums seems as though it doesn't work due to just getting the timer after clicking reply, then having to close down the modal and refresh to page to see it has worked.
This happening in both Chrome and IE (just checked IE).

I also noticed that when I initially posted this discussion.
EDIT: and also when I posted this reply

Same on support requests, and also on PRB review posts.

Seeing the same issue
I think there might also be something broken regarding the "Monitor" functionality. I initially subscribed to monitor this thread but it didn't mark it as being monitored.
Then, I subscribed again earlier today with the "Monitor" button.
Now, when I opened this thread, it did not have me monitoring this one, so I re-subscribed. Now it shows "Stop Monitoring" instead of "Monitor" in that button but let's see if that has changed again tomorrow.

I'm still experiencing this after one month of mentioning it here (and it was even before that).
It eats the credibility of concrete5 quite much, if the main site is down like 6 hours every day for several months. I would also think it affects the marketplace sales, not in a positive manner.
There are people who rely on concrete5, so it would be really great if we could get the official release zips uploaded to some other site as well as this one since concrete5.org is clearly not very reliable source. I know we can download the tags from github but it's not completely the same as the official releases.
We regularly need to download version X of concrete5 on server / machine Y, so it's quite a bummer when the official source is down like ½ of the day each day.

Or if we can't get any progress regarding this, I'd be really interested in hearing what kind of update takes more than 30 nights and several hours each night...? Isn't the core team sleeping usually when this happens?
I have been seeing the same. It also caused the newsflow overlay on sites to hang.
It might also be useful to add that this never happened before the site renewal. Before, there was loading delays at times but the "Under maintenance" page never occurred this often. I only saw it when they actually did some updates to the site but I really doubt that it is the case that has been going on for the past months as these occur every single day, or at least those days I happen to come here.
I'm also experiencing the same here. Very annoying!
The site has been giving maintenance errors both yesterday and today.
A bit annoying when trying to find some important information for a client.

Confirmed and agreed. The site was today down more than 4 hours at least.
Google's cached pages have been our very good friends during the past months. But the official downloadable versions are not available through Google's cache.

I explain to myself that the site is under maintenance because they are working on our Christmas presents.

I thought todays long-under maintenance screen was an improvement over the previous maintenance screen. So somewhere progress is being made :)
The site was down again today. Fortunately, the "break" was not that long this time, only few hours (or then I did not notice it any earlier).
The first half of the morning from my point of view
I've been seeing this too - I just assumed work was being done on the site...
