Concrte5 5.7 roadmap budget hosting

You state in your roadmap "To stay the size I want we have to choose where to put our hosting expertise, and we’re focusing on the big boys", and that you are going to make your money from commissions from hosting companies, where does this leave the "budget host" which I am one? we supply our clients with concrete5 based websites, are we not going to be allowed to do this when 5.7 is released with the new business model, I can see the reason for it but would like to know where we stand for our own business development, do we stay the course or jump ship to Wordress/Drupal etc.

Not at all. concrete5 will remain MIT licensed and we love that you offer it to your clients.

We're talking about not doing budget hosting ourselves (a change we've already made) and focusing on promoting the partnerships we have with the budget hosts we have.

Certainly shouldn't impact what you do at all in a negative way, might increase your traffic as well.

Thank you for clarifying this, looks like we had grabbed the wrong end of the stick, apologies all round. Great news also that you intend to offer an higher end version of ecommerce, this is something we would jump at the chance of using. Looking forward to 5.7 thanks.
