HI,
I have started a Concrete5 user group at Google groups.
http://groups.google.com/group/concrete5-us... I am hoping that the members will be willing to share experiences and offer additional help for the first time non coding user as well as development experts.
Please stop by and make your questions, ideas and comments known.
I personally need some help with problems related to the 5.3.3.1 upgrade. I no longer have the slide show available. When I try to add the slide show functionality, the dotted line block does not expand and allow it to open up.
I have very little knowledge of the core code or MySql back end. So, to say the least, I am a little frustrated.

I don't understand why you would need to go offsite - when theres plenty of members here willing to deal with your queries...

I have had support through the forums but since the upgrade I mentioned, I have not been able to get assistance. Maybe it is because people are too busy dealing with their own issues around the upgrade.
And, in many cases, the answers provided are often above my ability to understand.
Mywww.www.franklincommunityplayers.org... site has worked very well on the 5.3.2 version. Although I have not expanded the functionality the theater board has been please to have a web presence.
As I mentioned, I have the desire to learn how to modify the files in the database or even explore why the software is not performing properly, I just have not made the connection through the forums with someone who knows how and is willing to provide the guidance at my technical level.
BlueHost tech support were willing and able to complete the upgrade, but I am not able to get any of the photos or slide show back.
Since the crash last Monday a week ago, I have posted several request for help with only a couple of replays. None of the replies addressed the issues of why the edit frame will not allow the applet to function properly.
I just though by having an additional source of information, there would be a wider range of expertise.
