Delete project from one account and add to another account

Permalink 2 users found helpful
When I first started with Concrete5 I set up a personal account.

Then I started working on a large project with several web sites with concrete 5 and I used my personal account to connect to get add-ons and themes. Now I'd like to use a different account which is set up just for these web sites.

Other posts indicate there is no way to change once the link has been established, but that it was in development.

1. Is there now a way to make a change to a new account?

2. Is there a way to export the content and images, wipe/reload the web site, make a new connection with the new account and re-import the content and images?

Thank you.

Sorry for the delay.

That worked. Thank you.

While it allows me to connect to the new account, it does not appear to dissappear from the concrete5 acocunt. bummer but better than not being able to connect.

Thank you very much.

I have the same problem.

I have an old project I want to delete. This project is the one that is connected to my URL when I go to the Systemwide Settings / Connect to the Community / Visit Project Page. This Project does not have the Add-ons and Themes I justed purchased.

I have a new project that has the new Add-ons and Themes I bought and this project can be accessed from My Account but not for some reason not the website.

For both projects, the URL, Registered, and Owner are the same - me.

How do I delete the first project?

How do I connect the second project to Systemwide Settings / Connect to the Community / Visit Project Page on the Dashboard?

Where is the config table on the Dashboard?

Thank you!

There is a value in your site database we use to determine if the site you are connecting to the community is a new one or a copy of an existing one.

When you connect a site to the community you have to do so with a user name here at concrete5.org.

If you only see one of your project sites here on the community chances are you made a new account here at concrete5.org when connecting it.

You can also release licenses for an add-on from one project page and reassign them to another, so if you have a stage or project site and need to move the stuff around that way, you can.

You nailed it:

"When you connect a site to the community you have to do so with a user name here at concrete5.org."

I think I did.

Let me try this!

Hi, with respect to this solution:

1. Where is the Config table in the DB? And
2. How does one “release licenses for an add-on from one project page and reassign them to another “?

Thank you!

1) its in the DB, there's no way to edit it from the front end

2) There's a link under each add-on on the project page for releasing the license.

Thanks Franz,

I am hanging in there and getting closer. So, I release Social Links from one project how do you go about re-assigning it?

Also, is there no way to delete a project after you have created it?

I truly appreciate your patience. I am stumbling around here but once I get some basics out of the way, I will be fine.

I am looking forward to being a be Concrete5 supporter and promoter. If I can do it, anyone can!

Thanks!

I saw this thread, but the answer regarding how to re-assign an add-on is not provided

http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/chat/reassigning-purchase...

Edit. I was able to reassign by going to the Project page where I wanted it assigned and Adding it at the bottom of the page.

Thanks

I have the same sort of problem but the original account I purchased under was a demo account which now seems to have been deleted. Consequently I cannot go there and un register the addon. All I have is a downloaded copy of the addon.

Is there anyway I can upload it to MY Account and register it there?

I am not sure.

I guess, if you are still using the same email address and the system doesn't purge accounts real fast.

That doesn't seem to work on 5.4.1.1 - for me, it still says my site is connected to the community.

The video on installation help explains how you can mov licenses around:

http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/how_to_install_add_ons_and_the...

Or this how-to might help:

I guess I was just having some general issues with my site saying that it was connected, though it was connected to an old version of my site that was running on a different server.

I deleted the tokens in the config table in the db and reconnected the site. That seemed to work, however, now when I go to update any of my add-ons I get this:

The following errors occurred when attempting to process your request:

• 1

It shows that I have 3 updates available, but the remote upgrades aren't working...it's unable to fetch the package/install.

Holy crap, AND each time I TRY to update an add-on, it DELETES it completely from my packages folder!! Not good! Needs attention.

Is it possible CURL isn't installed on your server?

You might have more success just doing the installation by hand method on that how to install page.
