Device friendly Responsive Concrete5 site

Hi Guys
Sometime I opens the concrete5 site (http://www.concrete5.org) in my mobile as well as in my iPad device. It doesn't looks good there as it is not responsive. Isn't it good to have a responsive concrete5 site rather this old aged fixed width size? Whats your opinion?

What the core guys think about this?

I agree. Not only for mobile devices and such. Since I am running Windows 8 and can do this easily, I often have two windows side by side, each one taking up half the screen. Since C5 is not responsive, I either have to zoom out until the whole page is in the view or scroll across to see the far side of the page. Very inefficient.

A responsive site would be a very good idea.

The "Superhero" theme that was recently featured is responsive, so obviously it's already possible to some degree. Check it out, they have it on a live demo site.

Actually now that I searched the marketplace for "responsive" I see there are quite a few out there, and they're surprisingly inexpensive. I wonder then what will be added to C5 in terms of responsive design.

Personally I think I would rather have multiple template designs with possibly a small amount of responsiveness. Many of the responsive designs I've seen elsewhere seem to be a waste of space when viewed on a PC. Loosing 40-45% of your real estate when viewing on a PC seems like a costly tradeoff.

It seems like you are talking about Concrete5 themes but I'm talking about the main Concrete5.org site. I know there are a lots of responsive themes available in marketplace which is inexpensive. But I'm not actually meaning to point that.
