Disqus Blog List showing complete pages
Permalink
Hi ! I am using Disqus for my Blog list and comments. The problem I am facing is that the blog list is not showing a preview or just part of each page; It is showing the whole content of all the pages. What should I do?
If found a 'workaround' for this problem. It's not a thing of beauty but it works...
The problem is that -while we expect disqus blog list to show the title of the blog + description as entered when creating the a new blog entry page- it does things a bit different.
It shows title + everything in the 'main'-area of your blog entry page (which will be your complete blog text).
To solve this I changed the blog_entry.php page type adding an extra row with a new area called 'main2'. I use the 'main' area for the first one or two sentences of the blog-text. The rest of my content (text, images and the diqus comment block) are placed into area 'main2'.
Now the page-list block will show only the blog-title and the brief text that's placed in the 'main' area.
See attached screenshots from my blog-entry page in edit mode and the blog-index page showing only blog-title + the text from 'main' area.

I came to the same workaround as well... sorry I didn't reply earlier!
Any help would be appreciated...
