Nope we don't. I've thought about it, and to be honest being able to say that there is a community behind the product sounds much better than just one or two developers creating a proprietary system.

Also, we promote the fact that the client is not vendor locked at all, and that concrete5 is an open source system.

I can certainly see why people would want to re-brand it as their own, but more and more clients are now looking for open systems from my experiences.

One company I was working for said they would never use the term "Open Source" because in their eyes it conveys room for security breaches.

Personally I've never had a hacked c5 site. The only time a site went down was when the client had a virus running on their computer which somehow was uploaded to the server.

The only complaint that was raised is the cms they try to sell costs the end user $3000. Do you think it would then be a good idea to white label it? I know it's a bit different with wordpress because it's all the rage...

What's your thoughts?

With the next version were thinking of adding "cobranding" tools so you can stick your logo in the corner and turn ours into "powered by concrete5"

We'd also let you limit what addons your client can install and give you a kickback on those sales

I've considered it but I think people are looking for brand recognition, even in open source software.

We have also discussed it. Have acted on it yet. Maybe someday, who knows:) We are trying to get a couple add-ons ready and bug tested.

I change the c5 logo in the top-right corner of the toolbar, but that's all. We had considered promoting the CMS with less emphasis on the concrete5 brand, but we then decided (like others above) that it's better to promote the open source perspective, as well as the benefits of the community. Companies understand that more and more (especially with big names like Wordpress and Drupal trading on the same benefits) and I think they prefer it to the inherent worry involved in employing a small firm (in our case, 5 people) to implement what seems like a proprietary system.

Why rebrand?

I didn't spend months and months of time producing this fantastic CMS and I wouldn't know where to start!

My clients know what it is and where it comes from.

They say to me, 'I want: Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress', I say to them you NEED Concrete5 and they love it!

I change the logo in the edit bar to remind them of me, thats all.

I'm not going to buy a lot of 'Dodge Chargers' and rebrand them as 'Bob's Buggies'?
