download file not working

i just bought a new add on download list, so i can be able to add multiple files and people should be able to download them. But when i added the files and i try to download, it doesnt work, it doesnt allow me to download, it just opens the image in a new page.... the download file page in the site map is there so i dont know whats goin on :( i need help

Are you pulling the files for download from a file set as described in the instructions for the add on ?
yes i am... even the normal file download block on concrete 5 is not working
Theres a small chance you may have selected open as the standard for your pc when opening that file type. On your pc when you select a file for download it gives an option to open or to download, and there is a box you can check for "always perform this action with this file type". Theres a slim chance you clicked it at some point but its worth checking out.

still makes no difference!! i am still facing the same problem
Could you post a link to your download page, so we can test as well? You can always set up a dummy page in the same domain if the download data is sensitive.
