Is it possible to dynamically change the content of a block by clicking a link in another block?

Basically I have a Flash world map with 30 location hotspots. When you click a link in this hotspot I would like the information (about the staff at the location) in the block below to change without going to a new page. Is this possible?

The block containing the staff information also needs to be editable via the CMS.
