Editing a discussion forum post

I installed the discussion forum add-on. Each post gives date/time info for the post, such as:
Posted on February 14, 2012 at 8:17 PM
However, when a post is edited there is no edit date/time info. For example, if I edited a post I'd like to see info like the following:
Posted on February 14, 2012 at 8:17 PM
Edited on February 14, 2012 at 10:17 PM
If only one line of info can be displayed I would like to see the most recent edit date/time info. Any suggestions for trying to accomplish this?
