Error submitting site to showcase

I've been trying to submit a site I just finished to the showcase for concrete5.org, and it keeps telling me that the URL is invalid. I'm definitely starting it with "http://" as instructed. I was able to submit my portfolio site to the showcase without a problem. Only thing that I can think is that the URL for this site is "ez-id.org" and that somehow the dash is throwing off the validation. Anyone else have this issue?

edit - attachment is a screenshot of the error with a valid URL in the box...

the first time I hit your website it takes forever to load. That's
probably why the showcase is telling you its an invalid URL, it times
out after waiting just a few seconds.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, the site is hosted on GoDaddy and the speed has been an issue. Still playing with caching solutions to try and speed up the process. Thanks for the quick response.

It also looks like there's a missing CSS file when i bring up the
activity manager in safari.. that might be an issue too.

I tried dropping in the missing view.css file (it's something related to the custom page block template I created - not sure where it's getting called from) in the right spot so no requested elements return 404, still the same submission issue. Ping times on the site haven't changed, so that's most likely the problem I suppose.
