Feature Request - Copy/Paste into stack from clipboard

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hey Team,

Someone might have requested this already, but if not I want to request the addition of being able to Copy/Paste blocks form the clipboard straight into a Stack. Otherwise, building a stack from the ground up from a page you're developing on is annoying. And developing into stacks directly is a bit cumbersome due to the extra mouse-clicking required to make simple edits to the stack. :)

Was recently searching and found this thread on it:

If this has already been asked for, then feel free to delete this! Thanks!

I would like this feature too.

I don't know if I am missing something in the process... but I want to be able to copy an existing block (all options set) and then paste it into a stack. I seem to have to create the item from scratch.

Workflow wise, I find that I create a block, and then later realise that I want to use that block (or group of blocks) in multiple areas. But if I want to make a stack from it, I have to make them one at a time making sure to carefully copy all settings, custom templates and design settings, etc. So some sort of copy/paste from clipboard would be great.

This is exactly the kind of facility I am looking for. It would be a positive boon to workflow.

A very needed feature indeed, i wonder why they didn't implement it yet.

Just a matter of time in the day. We will put it on the list for 5.7 and would certainly be ammenable to a pull request in 5.7 that does it.

I'm looking for the same thing now that I'm using stacks alot.
Has there been any update on this request?

FYI I'd add a request to be able to "Append" additional "copy from Clipboard" entries.

My Stacks contain multiple blocks (advertisements) sourced from different blocks and content elements.

Does anyone have a work around?
