Are you sure that "Advanced Forms" has the ability to handle conditional dependencies? I was going through its available documentation, but could not find any indication of this feature.

My first field is a selectbox of training programmes. After selecting one from them, the second field should be the date rages of the programme conditional/dependent on the selection in the first field.

Advanced Forms has the ability show show/hide different fields depending on the value of another field.

This is the 5.7 version of Advanced Forms, I do not know if Conditional Notifications has been implemented in 5.7 yet, I would suggest asking the developer before purchasing to know for sure. https://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/formify/...

Be that as it may, that is the replacement for Advanced Forms in 5.7
