I just bought the ecommere import add-on
but having some probs understaning what to do next.
I want to copy off evertything in my existing C5 website and ecommerce store at seocoyote.com (pages, images, products, customer options, everything.) and then remove (uninstall) the ecommerce add-on and close the old project off
then I have built a new C5 project buzzmasters.net that i will then install the ecommerce add-on and build out a store and install the ecommerce import copied store products, pages, evetything into this new project.
having trouble getting started. OR am I screwed and will i need to do the move manually and write off the $95.00 for the ecommerce import addon???
very confused to say the least.
thx

I don't believe that the eCommerce Import add-on includes an export, only and import. So you will need to generate the XML based on your current site in order to import it into your new site.
Ok Do you have any suggestions on how I might do this, creating the xml files.
Is there a resource inside Concrete 5??? or do I need an outside package or what??
Please reply asap
thx

I've never used this package so I can not advise you on that. There are sample data files with the package, I would suggest looking at those and seeing what they contain. I think you will have to create these by hand, as far as I can see there aren't any add-ons or tools to do this for you.
