In terms of converting a site from wordpress to concrete5, there isn't an automatic way to do this, there are too many differences (it a good way!). The most straightforward way to do it is to simply roll out a new concrete5 site, configure the theme to your liking, add the new pages and copy and paste content from the existing site. Often this doesn't take that long to do and it gives you an opportunity to clean things up as you do it anyway.

I'd consider myself pretty experienced with concrete5, but i'm _still_ discovering new features in 5.7, so there's lots to explore.

Besides the Content block, the main blocks worth understanding are the Page List block and the Autonav block, both are incredibly powerful, so make sure you explore those.

In short, you can chop up editable areas into smaller areas - great for splitting up content, create ad-hoc sidebars, etc.

It's worth pointing out too that pages and even files are versioned in concrete5, so if you make mistakes you can roll back page versions. There is also a trash section in the sitemap (hit the Include System pages checkbox), so you can even restore deleted pages.

The doco and forums are a great resource for answering questions. Doing a quick google search for your problem normally finds something useful. If you can't find the answer to something, you can always post a question here - clearly post what you are trying to do and include any relevant screenshots.
