The developers of the Chrome browser have released a patch to fix the recent blank error popups that were preventing editing of blocks, pages etc.
To get the update...
1. Start Google Chrome
2. Click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the window
3. Scroll down to 'Help'
4. Click 'About Google Chrome' , Chrome will find the patch and install it.
