Google Goals
Permalink
Hi all.
My client seems to be having some problems getting Google Goals to work with there website, which uses C5.
He has it set up for the thank you page at:
http://www.employeasily.co.uk/thank-you/...
so in google goals has set this up as:
/thank-you
He has also tried:
/index.php/thank-you
but none seem to work, or does it take google a while to propagate this?
Has anyone came across a problem like this before?

Thanks for the feedback.
Its on the top level and I have it set as you have in your example but has not been working. hmmm.
I have also noticed in Analytics that after every URL it puts index.php after it?!? So instead of:
http://www.employeasily.co.uk/about-us/hrservices/...
its displaying as:
http://www.employeasily.co.uk/about-us/hrservices/index.php...
It only started doing this the other day. Very strange and wondering if this is causing an issue.

Do you have the goal set up as 'exact match'?
Yes, I have it setup as an exact match.
The best way to figure out what to use for the URL is to actually see how Google shows the URL for the page when you view the "Top Content" report. If you copy and paste that path into the Goal URL, it should work.

hmmm no matter what I do, entering every combination that it could be, it still does not get picked up.
This is very strange.
Anyone else had a problem?

/index.php/contact-us/thank-you/
It is now fully tracking as a goal.
Hope this helps.
