Great training session in local school

Hi C5 guys!
Just wanted to say great work on the new 5.5 version. Awesome stuff! I recently had the opportunity to conduct an introductory C5 class for a local Charter School's web programming class (middle school aged students). They're evaluating C5 for their main public site as well for teaching. They're really excited about the out of the box features, as well as the opportunity to customize the site with custom blocks built by the students. I'll post updates of their progress on this thread and let everyone know how they're doing.
I'm from an education/tech background and was wondering if anyone else out there is using C5 in schools? I'd love to know how you're using it.
Thanks everyone!

That's awesome. Great to hear.
I know of quite a few colleges built with concrete5... cune.edu jumps to mind, iu as well..
I also think it's well loved amongst teachers of smaller schools, you might want to wander through the showcase a bit.

The cune.edu is a good looking site. I think C5 is a great piece of tech to use in schools: easy to implement and novice users can get right in there and update the site (i.e., your everyday school secretary for instance). I've thought about putting together a "school" C5 add-on, that would have most of the general features/blocks/etc that a school would usually need. It'll have to be one of those "when I have time" projects, but I think there's lots of need for it for little districts with limited IT staff.
