Concrete 5.7 was a complete rewrite from 5.6. I personally never used 5.6, so I can't compare it to 5.7. I do understand that you must have been very keen with 5.6, and since 5.7 is so different it didn't sit well with you. But how does that make it suck?

I first started developing C5 sites in 5.7, and let me tell you, I find it absolutely amazing, and so do our clients (most of who dislike their wordpress sites and chose to hire us because we offer Concrete5).

I'm not a wordpress developer, I don't really want to be, so I build most my sites in Concrete5. I think alot of what it comes down to is whether you know what your doing or not when it comes to programming, and many so called "web site companies" don't know what they are truly doing, so they throw wordpress at everything. Where I work, we offer our clients more excellent solutions by custom designing and building them a website that fits their company that they can then take over full control of. And since I started building our firms sites in Concrete5 there has been a lot less phone calls of clients needing us to update their website, giving us more time to build new websites, and thats thanks to Concrete5. With Concrete5, we build our clients websites that fulfill their needs without needing to call us. Most of these clients are finding the sites we build very intuitive to edit, and saving time and headaches making our company look really good. All this is in-part thanks to Concrete5.

I do have some good things to say about wordpress, mainly that it works great for blogs, and it should (as thats what it was designed for). Concrete5 on the other hand was not initially designed to let people blog, it was designed to let people do anything (including make blogs). Therefore Concrete5 works great for building completely custom websites and then handing them over to someone who's not a computer guru who is then able to take full control of their website with ease.

We have a long list of happy clients on 5.7, including ones we've moved from 5.6 to 5.7.

I am a tad curious. It's not the first time someone posts to say they used to like C5 but not anymore and they have moved on to something else, mostly wp.

I would understand someone considering moving to something else posting about it here. Maybe still hoping to be convinced to not move away or something like that.

But once you already moved on with your life and are obviously happy with your decision, why come back just to let us know that we're a bunch of zombies in the making?

Not that it bothers me, as I said, I am just curious.
