Help Needed -- File management

Hiya!
I've started to use conrete5 engine not so long ago and I think it is a great engine to build on it. But I have a big problem: the uploaded files are stored in MySQL (not so big as the other) and all the files I upload are located under many randomly generated number folders, like
-files
-5211
-2865
-5846
-myfile.txt
And this is a problem for me because I want to upload some files what MUST be in one folder. Is there any addon or some hack what could upload files directly to the files folder, or some kind of an advanced download manager?

no reason you couldn't hard link to these files in another directory - but they're not going to be part of the file manager UI then.
No, I can't do it, because it is a flash file what searches it's folder for the connected XML file...
if you need a file to just be somewhere for flash, put it there.
you're not going to be able to manage it with the filemanager, but if its just a xml file for flash, that shouldn't be a huge issue?
