Hostgator logical method to develop locally??????

Hostgator will not support anything to do with C5 unless you use their QuickInstall 1-click installer.
Okay.
So, I used the one-click installer and then export my local database, import it into the 1-click installed database.
Things are looking good, but my files are missing. Okay, just gotta delete a few folders and replace them with my local versions and.... deletion takes forever and a day.
This isn't saving me any time. I could have just added all the content remotely. I can't believe how long it's taking to delete the remote "files" directory. And this is only ONE freaking directory.
