How do I change a file ownership

Hi,

As an admin, I would like to change a file's ownership to a user of the site. How can I do this ?

Thank you.

Go to File Manager under Dashboard. Click on any file & look at the 2nd last option of the pop up. It says Access & Permissions. Click on it & set your permission.

I'm sorry but when I do this, I get two options : "Protect with password" and "storage location". I can't change the ownership here.

PS: I'm using Concrete5 version 5.5.1

Go to file manager click on attributes and add a text attribute with a handle of file_owner and a name of File Owner,
This will then be available in the main file manager section where you can add the owners name..

The suggestion to add a file attribute with the handle file_owner and a name of File Owner sounded very promising, however, now I'm not seeing a way to update that field. Any further advice?

So I figured out how to edit the file properties and I've added a new user name to the File Owner property, but it still doesn't show up for that user. Is it their username that should be added to the field or something else?
Thanks!
