how do I submit a bug report? Is this the correct place?

I added a block to my front page, "RSS Displayer". When I saved it, it displayed the following error:

"Fatal error: Call to undefined method DOMElement::getLineNo() in /home/zinger/public_html/concrete/libraries/3rdparty/simplepie.php on line 8815"

Worst of all, the Concrete5 control bar at the top of the screen no longer displays so I can't edit the page and remove the offending block would remove my whole site.

I can't find any way to create a page at the highest level either or I would make a new home page and move everything under it.

Right now I'm screwed until I find out how to edit the DB or source or whatever to remove the offending block. This system is not very robust.

There's a bug tracker under the developers tab at the top of this page.

However, it sounds like something may be off with your install.

You can always setup a demo on our servers here:
http://www.concrete5.org/trial/...

If you can't reproduce the error on a demo setup here, chances are there's
something unique about your install or webhost that is causing you trouble.

best wishes

Hi Franz,

Thanks for the quick response. I found the bug tracker and have posted to that forum.

I have encountered this problem on two installations so far. The bug is exhibited when the RSS feed is poorly formed. It does not occur with a good RSS feed. I think the problem is in the simplepie.php parser code. I'm attempting to trace the problem into the code. I will send a bug report to simplepie.org as well.

Peace,

I was involved in this forum thread, similar problem:

http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/usage/rss-block-breaking-...

To get your home page back, you can login directly to the dashboard, find the site map, revert the approved page version and delete the version containing the faulty block.
