How to change C5 account e-mail address?

I need to change the e-mail address listed as the contact info initially for our Concrete5 account. We need to change our admin password without it being sent to the old e-mail address (which was hacked). Please advise. Thanks!

Are you talking about your account on concrete5.org or your own concrete5 website?

If it's for your own concrete5 site, there are instructions on how to change the admin password through the database near the bottom of this tutorial:

It's my client's C5 account/website. Not my personal C5 member account. My client asked me to change their admin password as a precaution since their e-mail was hacked. For obvious reasons, having the reset/new password sent to their hacked e-mail account would not be helpful. Thanks much for any help with this!

I am slightly confused. Why don't they just login as admin, go to the users in the dashboard and change the admin password there?

Well, as far as I can tell -- the reset password will be e-mailed to the hacked address. I'm thinking that I need to first change the listed e-mail address in the account contact info before using that password reset window. So, it's really two action items that need to be done:
1. change e-mail address listed as their contact info
2. reset password

Hopefully I'm not making this harder than it needs to be! Thanks for the help.

Both of those can be done when you update the admin user info in the dashboard. You just want to change the admin email address and password correct?

Are you referring to this login window? (See attachment.) If so, it doesn't seem to accept a different e-mail address.

Go to your dashboard, enter users, and groups. Search admin account in find users or just go straight to search users in 5.5, when it comes up click edit user, enter new email information, and press save or update user.

The only time you would use the reset password would be if you forgot you password. Just like any other site. Otherwise and changing of the password or email info they should login as admin, go to the dashboard, find Members click on the admin user and edit. once the email and PW are changed, just save and that's all they need to do.
