How to Discontinue Projects
Permalink
What's the normal way to stop or close a project in the marketplace? I've closed my company and I won't be able to support at least one if not both of the projects we had put in the marketplace. One is really a developer utility (Page Importer) so I don't expect much usage but I don't want to be bothered trying to keep it updated or answering support for it. The other one (Cobalt) is a theme which is used on my personal site so that one I might keep updating though not 100% sure on that.
Any suggestions, maybe I could just put a big notice on the main project page that says "unsupported"? Or is there a formal removal process?
Thanks for any ideas!

Its a shame to hear you are off. You have made some good contributions.
Thanks John, I might still be around a little here and there still running C5 on my tennis training site. Good interacting with you when I was developing you're a good ambassador for C5.
You may want to contact either Franz or Julia about this.
Or, you could offer to let someone else take them over (I took over the "TweetCrete" addon as its original creator didn't want to support it any longer. Then, Julia transferred it to me).
I have 2 themes in the marketplace that I am currently not supporting. I simply updated the descriptions and removed the downloadable files.
I suggest posting a message on you items' descriptions saying that you will no longer be supporting them in 30 days (or however long).
In short, there really is no official removal process, so I suggest contacting someone on the Core team about this.

Thanks, good advice. I've added a notice to Page Importerhttps://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/page-importer/...
The other one I have, Cobalt Theme I think I will try to support it and see how much time it takes.

Julia is not part of the core team anymore I believe.
