how to use simple Cal in 5.6 and 5.6

I upgraded a site to version 5.6.
the user asked how do we add events in this new version?
hmmm, i browsed around and was not able to do so.
this is probably more of C5 5.6 issue, but from my prospective i do not see Simple Cal in the Dashboard. I had to go add-on update and tried to do it from there without success.
can someone help me?
