Huge 'Content' Block Improvement - Feature Request
Permalink
Hello,
I am using Concrete5 (v5.5.1) for the first time of my life for a customer website and I like it.
I have an improvement request. Indeed, the instance of TinyMCE inside the 'Edit Content' window of the 'Content' block has a fixed size. So, when you try to change size of this window using the arrow at the bottom right, the editor doesn't expand. (see 'Before.png' attachment)
It would be very cool if it can auto-adjust its size when you change the dimension of the window like in my attachment 'After.png'.
Also, I don't know if it's possible but the BEST thing would be for the 'Edit Content' window to automatically dimension itself to the size of the content area the user is editing like in my attachment 'After.png'. Of course, a minimum size should be defined if the edited area is really small.

Thanks for your reply.
Indeed, after searching a lot, I found that the French language pack fromhttp://www.concrete5.fr put a new 'editor_config.php' file with a fixed width in the '.\blocks\content' directory. I corrected this.

Any chance your custom theme has some specific/greedy CSS that is overriding the 'width:100%' styling on any of those TinyMCE elements within the modal? The <table> which contains the toolbar and the HTML iFrame, maybe? You need to make sure width:100% is still set on there to allow it to be fluid.
