I need an answer

Hello,
Earlier this afternoon, I installed a new package to my hosting package that I thought was only for creating a Gallery.
Well, when I installed it, this package completely overwrote my Concrete5 package, with the result being that now, everything I have designed thus far, is now gone !
My plans are to completely re-install my Concrete5 package to my hosting dashboard, and hopefully, it will overwrite this package that I installed today.
I had created a backup for my website a couple of days ago, while still using the Concrete5 package. But I do not know, or remember where that backup went. Is there a default location where these backups are stored ?
Any ideas or suggestions ?

I'm afraid this is a question for your hosting company.
Sounds like it just overwrote your root index.php file. You should still have your concrete5 MySQL database. That being the case, I suggest deleting it all (back up your custom themes if you have modified them), creating a SQL dump of the c5 database, reinstalling c5 and then pulling that database back in. And be mindful of what you are installing. Most scripts that are installed from, for example, Fantastico, won't generally proceed if they detect an index.html or index.php file, so not sure how this happened. If you need help with this, PM me.
Thank you so much for your answers. At this time, my design work on the website has completely restored. So, we are back up and running.
