I need help because I'm totally losing it...

I watched a video of a block that I need the other day, and because of a combination of several factors - most of which is age - I can't remember what the name of the block is. I have searched the marketplace high and low and been racking my brain for two hours, and now I've got myself all spun up into a tizzy and I'm about to completely lose my mind over this thing.
What I saw was a block that allowed you to write articles and then put them into different categories. You could then post links to those articles in different parts of your website - depending on what you wanted to link from in one part of your site or another.
I hope this rings a bell with someone - and I also know I watched a video for the block, so that narrows it down a bit.
Thanks in advance and I greatly appreciate any help you can offer me in finding this block again.

the only block I know of that lets you have categories for articles is the Blog block. Since it creates pages as blog entries, you can link to those pages from within any other normal content block just like you would any other page.
The simple and pro news block also allow you to create page lists against articles with categories, I have used the simple new on one of my sites.

if you can spare the cash I would go for the pro news as a dashboard option is always nice.
