Installing Concrete5 on Subdomain

So I've installed C5 in a subdomain off a domain that has its own copy of C5. I get it working for a little while but after 10-15 minutes I try something and the ability to edit a page goes away and it looks like it kicks me out. I try to log into the dashboard, but it won't let me. I have tried and retried this from scratch three times and it has happened each time. I'm wondering if this can actually work. Does anyone know?

I have many development and staging installs running from subdomains with no issues. So it can work. As to what is going wrong in your case, I have no idea.

Immediate things to try are:
- turn off and clear the cache
- turn off pretty urls and remove the pretty url code from .htaccess

So I left it alone for an hour and came back and could sign in. Went to the cache and clear it and turned off the cache settings. I wasn't using pretty urls yet. See if this works. I'm glad to know that someone is doing this without issue so thanks for the response.
