Invalid HTML

Hi everyone

I apologise if this has come up in the past, I have been having a look around and I can’t seem to find any answers.
I am seriously considering Concrete5 for my new project as I think it addresses many of the shortfalls of Joomla and Drupal.
My only current issue is that every Concrete5 site I have looked at fails W3C HTML validation (normally by numerous points). Is this a known issue with the CMS or are the errors down to the particular developers?

Cheers

This is (mostly) up to the HTML the dev used. I don't know what HTML all the possible plugins will create, but you can write clean HTML with C5.

For example:http://www.reboard.net/de/. It got 18 Errors, most of them because of a link to Google Maps. One because of a meta tag not set by C5 and a few because of a plugin.
There might be better examples, but still… ;)

If you do a clean install of C5 it will pass validation. Some of the add on blocks will cause some errors mainly from having styles or javascript embedded within them. Many times you can fix these with just a minor edit. Also keep in mind the validation sites themselves are not always 100% accurate
